Engine Overview and Common Failures
The CFF engine number is located at the junction of the block and gearbox. This is an updated version of the diesel engine and most of the problems of the EA189 series have already been solved. The Bosch fuel system with electromagnetic injectors has a high resource. The most troublesome issues are regular leaks and an unreliable oil separator. Please carefully monitor the condition of the timing belt, as its failure can cause valve damage. The remaining problems are related to the contamination of the EGR valve or the soot filter.
