The engine number M1DA is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. This structurally complex motor is very demanding in terms of the quality of the oil used. The main problem is overheating due to a ruptured cooling system hose. The second most common issue is frequent condensation around the valve cover. In the early years of production, the water pump seal quickly wore out and caused leakage. Valve clearances are adjusted by selecting cups, as there are no hydraulic compensators.
